2:15 The first report from the surgery team is that everything is going well so far, it appears to be a "low-grade" tumor (that's good) and they are making good progress on the resection. We are trying hard to distract ourselves, but I feel like I'm going to end up with an ulcer!
12:03 They told us at 12:03 that they had just started operating.
10:20 Jenni and I sat with Riley in pre-op this morning until they gave her a "twilight" drug and took her back to start prepping her for surgery about 10:20 or so. They said it would take about 90 min. to get her all ready. They should be telling us soon when they actually begin surgery.

So many people here in Oregon are holding all of you in prayer. They've asked me to keep them updated so they can update the prayer chains at their churches. I'm praying as the time goes by today and the days to come that Jesus will rock all of you in His arms.
ReplyDeletedear Jenni, Jaron and all the gathered family and friends - we are not able to be with you physically but we are definitely with you through the Holy Spirit. We are so glad Kari can be there - and that Scott was able to join you as well.
ReplyDeleteWe add a mighty 'Amen!' to all the messages sent and know that there are so many more from around the US and worldwide.
Jenni, your Romans 5 verses are so full of encouragement. I want to add a verse of Moses blessing to the Israelites: "The eternal God is a refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms.' We are praising God as He supplies strength, hope and peace.
Thank You, Father God, for the moment by moment joy of Riley.
Loving you - G'pa and G'ma Weaver
Dear Jaron and Jenni,
ReplyDeleteI am a friend of Kylene Moore. She passed on your blog as a prayer request. My 2 year old daughter Holly has recently come through a near death experience with bacterial meninigitis. When I read your blog about the sedation process, I could not hold back the tears. The verses that truly got us through the sickness were Phil 4:6-7. Let the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind. This is huge. Ask God to do this, that He would NOT allow the what ifs to enter your mind. The other is Psalm 121. Where does our help come from? The Maker of Heaven and Earth. If He did all that, how much more can He care for our children? Lastly, before she got sick, I had begun to teach Holly Joshua 1:9--'Be strong and courageous, do not be scared, Jesus is with Holly.' This was and continues to be a comfort to Holly and to us!
Please know that we are praying for you.
Love in Christ,
Anna Unruh
